Oberbroeckling Family Farms is a third-generation, diversified agricultural operation headquartered in Garnavillo, Iowa. We've been farming this ground since 1959 and we're not slowing down. Our operation spans 5,000+ acres of row crop production, a 20-truck commercial fleet, precision ag drone sales and service, and custom hog finishing. We run hard, we invest in our people, and we're building something that lasts generations.
We're looking for one person to grow with us — someone who can keep our equipment running and eventually wants a seat at the table in the field.
🔧 WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work out of our 10,000 sq ft shop, built in 2016, fully air conditioned — service pit, automated tire mounting, AC machine, and wash bay. Purpose-built. Not a converted machine shed. You'll also have a service truck at your fingertips to make in field repairs.
Maintain and repair late-model John Deere combines, tractors, Kenworth semis with Cummins engines, trailers, and support equipment
Diagnose issues using John Deere Service Advisor and Cummins Insite — we'll invest in training the right person
Support our precision ag drone sales and service operation
Operate field equipment during planting, spraying, and harvest
Work alongside Ryan Oberbroeckling (Farm Operations) as part of a close-knit team
Grow into field operations as you prove yourself here
🌱 THE PATH FORWARD
We know exactly who we're looking for — and you might already know who you are.
You grew up on a farm. You know how to work. You've got diesel in your blood and you'd rather spend your day on a tractor or under a hood than anywhere else. You went and got a skill set. And now you're working somewhere that doesn't feel like home.
This position was built for you. If you want to rent ground on the side, we'll talk about sharing equipment. If you want to grow into field operations, there's a path here. We're not looking for someone to punch a clock. We're looking for someone who already thinks like a farmer.
