We stayed at the aptly named cabin Secluded Sunset. This is a very cute, quiet, and well maintained cabin. This is probably the best cabin we’ve stayed in so far (out of 7-8 in the Smokies). The management company clearly cares about their properties and the guests experience.

Gatlinburg. It really should be Ogleburg. Or Oglesville. Maybe Oglestown.I mean, at the least, White Oak Flats.The name "Gatlinburg" shouldn’t have even made the top five. The area, which became known as White Oak Flats for the abundance of trees, was rife with Ogles.

The incredibly beautiful Alum Cave Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park leads all the way up to Mount Le Conte.
⛰ This trail truly is unmatched in its combination of interesting geological features, history, high adventure and stunning panoramic views.
