🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend Service Update

As flags fly across our neighborhoods this weekend, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We’re grateful for the freedom to live, work, and serve this community we call home.

All BFS routes will run on their normal schedule - however our office will be closed. Please have your carts out as usual.

Hotter weather is coming — and that can mean smellier garbage carts.

One of the easiest ways to help keep your cart cleaner and smelling better is to bag your trash before placing it in the cart.

Bagged trash helps reduce leaks, messes, and odors, especially in the warmer months.

Quick Pickup Day Reminder

You may have noticed that we are using new fully automated side-loader trucks on many of our routes. These trucks allow our drivers to service carts safely and efficiently from inside the cab.

Our automated trucks work best when carts are placed correctly. Small things like this help our drivers work safely and keep routes running on schedule.

✔ Lid opening facing the street
✔ Leave at least 3 feet of space from mailboxes, vehicles, and other carts

Most streets are clear, but with freezing temps overnight there will be a few icy spots in the morning.

Please put your carts out as usual — we’ll be out tomorrow as conditions allow, and pickup times may vary.

We’re closely monitoring the winter weather forecast as snow is expected through the weekend. At this time, we do not anticipate any service interruptions for Monday, but conditions can change.

As always, safety comes first.

Best guidance: When in doubt, place your carts out the night before your service day as normal.

🎄 Waste Collection Schedule – Christmas & New Year’s 🎄

As we head into the Christmas and New Year holidays, we wanted to share a quick update on our pickup schedule:

All routes will run as normal EXCEPT for Thursday routes

Thursday customers:
• Your service will be moved to Friday

Important exception for these communities:
Customers in Maryville, Belle Isle, and along South Island Road will be serviced on Wednesday instead of Friday.

🍁 Thanksgiving Schedule Update from BFS 🍂

As we head into the holiday, we want to let everyone know that our office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

To keep service running smoothly for our customers, some Thursday routes have been moved up to Wednesday, and some have been pushed to Friday. (Wachesaw Plantation and customers in and around the Collins Creek Rd. and Hagar Brown Rd. area will be collected on Thanksgiving Day, as requested by our driver who wanted to keep the regular schedule.)

We’ve emailed all affected neighborhoods with their updated schedule. If you did not receive an email and/or are unsure of your pick-up day, please call us at 843-546-4739 or email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help.
