The Railroad is open every Sunday, May through October rain or shine. Trains start their scheduled departures from the station at 11:00 a.m.,with trains departing about every 20 minutes. The ride is a

two mile round trip lasting about 30 minutes and travels along the scenic Meramec River.Operated by an all volunteer staff, the WF&P was organized in 1939 and began operations near Brown Rd. and Natural Bridge. Since 1961, we have continued this fine tradition in Glencoe, MO (Wildwood, MO) providing families with a look back in history. We are proud to be considered one of the top family attractions in the St. Thank you for helping us keep the history of Steam Trains alive.

Yesterday was a fun day and somewhat historic day as a father/son duo operated a double header locomotive train run together. John, Jr. and John, III who recently was certified as an engineer, got to run together on one of our afternoon trains. John, IV. is only a couple of years old but we can't wait until he's qualified to operate a triple header.

We received a lot of good comments on our recent memories of Brown Road and our early days. So, we thought we would post a couple more over the next few weeks. This one features our original locomotive, #171.
