We were there this summer and loved it!

Located in Elko, The Star Hotel offers a traditional Basque dining experience that is a rite of passage in Nevada! You walk into a historic boarding house and sit at long, family-style tables. You order a main course like steak or lamb chops, but the meal includes soup, salad, beans, french fries, and spaghetti served in communal bowls. The "Picon Punch" is the signature drink—strong, bitter, and distinct. The atmosphere is loud and social, forcing you to chat with your neighbors. You leave incredibly full, having experienced the hospitality of the Basque sheepherders.
