Announcing a fundraiser for this week! Local friends, you may have heard of a motorcycle accident involving Brandon Boughman where he lost part of his leg. His family is hosting a motorcycle + ATV ride this Saturday and we’d like to help by raffling a table with proceeds going to him.

Table Details: Cherry Butcher Block table on black, powder coated, heavy hair pin legs. 19 inch wide by 64 inches long - stands 29.5 inches tall

Raffle Details: This is a numbered raffle. You will buy an available number; each number is $10. There is no limit on how many numbers you can buy. Names will be put beside numbers when money is received- no holds. We will start with 1-100. When those sell we will add batches of 25 more numbers at a time. (This is a fundraiser folks, the more the merrier!) You can buy a number via IG or FB only through Sept 27 at 3 pm. The table will then be in person at the fundraiser dinner on Sept 27 from 4-7:00 at the Glenmont School Gymnasium where in person tickets can be purchased. At 7:00 the raffle closes and a winner will be drawn. Numbers will be listed in the comments of this post and updated nightly.

Payment: In person payment to Jason or Jess can be arranged for local folks. Venmo -Kurtz-1

The Stumbo Addition

How honored we were to have the chance to work for Mary Ann & Ben on their new kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. This project was the main focus of our winter months: from drawings to install and everything in between. A fun job with a beautiful finish!

Thanks to the Wenger family for reaching out to us so we could design this custom toy chest for their family. Panels are personalized for an extra special touch. These 4 boards were fun to have for a while, but we knew they wouldn’t stay with us for long! Cut from one large maple burl (after HOURS of digging and cleaning that chunk up), they became beautiful, one of a kind pieces.

Jason intentionally went light on some of the epoxy pigment to catch the gnarly edges of the burl.

Jess’ color choices: Caribbean, Seafoam, Caviar & Seaweed

The burl boards seem extra special (maybe from the extra TLC they get) and we’ve decided to attempt to keep track of where they go. We missed making that plan as the first board sold… we believe Seaweed lives near Columbus now. If you bought that baby, reach out and let us know!

Seafoam went to Mansfield.
Caviar went to Pataskala.
Caribbean was bought as a gift and once it makes the flight it will live in PALM SPRINGS!

We can’t express how grateful we are for the positive feedback everyone had for us

These burls won’t be the last to come out of the shop, so if you love what you see keep an eye out for more!

This small business has become a connection to so many folks we never would have met. We appreciate everyone that supports us in so many ways.

Grateful for the helpers who make long weekends a bit easier on us and the kiddos!

This quilt block started with a photo of what once hung on a barn.

That barn was destroyed by fire… taking a quilter’s block. Previously, our community had also lost the quilter herself.

We were honored to be part of bringing her quilt block back to life.

Photos of the process here; 73 pieces in all. Paduk and hard maple. A white wash stain and some blue paints.

We hope it brings a smile to the faces of those who loved her.
