Tomorrow, Friday, September 4th is Gloucester's third and final 2026 Block Party, which means Main Street will be closed to traffic. CATA service will be running as usual, but the Main Street bus stop at Main St & Pleasant St will be closed and temporarily moved to Rogers Street and Harbor Loop. You may also catch your bus at the Rose Baker Center.

School Trippers schedules are out now for the 2026–2027 school year! School Trippers provides pick-up and drop-off service for students of Gloucester High School and O'Maley School. This service is FREE for the entire school year and no passes are required!

CATA will be operating with limited seasonal and ADA Paratransit service on 9/7/2026 in observance of LABOR DAY. Only the Rockport Shuttle, Stage Fort Park Shuttle, the Ipswich/Essex Explorer, and Dialysis service will be available.

Please also note that Labor Day is the final day of service for the Rockport Shuttle, Stage Fort Park Shuttle, and the Ipswich/Essex Explorer in 2026. The Rockport Shuttle will be operational for HarvestFest on October 17th. For more information about HarvestFest, visit https://rockportusa.com/harvest-fest/

September is on our doorstep, which means CATA's seasonal summer routes are nearing the end of their 2026 season.

Rockport Shuttle: Operational through Monday, September 7th, 2026 (Labor Day). Will be in service on October 17 for Harvest Fest (more information to come).
Stage Fort Park Shuttle: Operational through Monday, September 7th, 2026 (Labor Day).
Ipswich-Essex Explorer: Operational through Monday, September 7th, 2026 (Labor Day).

Gloucester is home to many sights and attractions! The Stage Fort Park Shuttle can get you to and from everything you need.

This seasonal route runs Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays through Labor Day (Sept. 7), and it'll be back next summer!

CATA is here to help. Both Dial-a-Ride and ADA Services are door to door services requested in advance of your trip. Dial-a-Ride services are available in all CATA communities (Gloucester, Rockport, Ipswich, Essex, Hamilton, and Manchester). ADA services are available in Gloucester, Rockport, and a portion of Essex year round, with the addition of Ipswich seasonally. CATA also provides service to the dialysis clinic in Beverly.
