Whether you're driving a semi or a passenger vehicle, maintaining a safe following distance gives you the time you need to react when traffic changes unexpectedly.

Remember:
✅ Maintain at least a 7-second following distance
✅ Increase that distance in rain, work zones, heavy traffic, and poor visibility
✅ If another vehicle merges into your space, simply ease off the throttle and rebuild your cushion
