🚨BANKING SCAM ALERT🚨

BEWARE OF NEW BANKING SCAMS

Bank Employee impersonation with calls and a home visit:

• Impersonator texts the customer from a spoofed bank phone number, asking if they made a purchase

• Next impersonator calls same customer from same spoofed phone number and says we have a new program where we come to your home to pick up the exposed card and offer a virtual or paper version until the new card comes

• Impersonator shows up at customer’s door wearing bank clothing and hat

Banks will NEVER come to your door!!

Banks or the police/FBI will never ask a customer to participate in an employee or branch investigation. If someone calls you to indicate that you should pull your funds from a branch while the investigation takes place, this is 100% a scam and one should not follow these orders.

If you receive a text with a link, NEVER click in the link as this allows the scammer to mirror your phone, which is technology that copies your exact phone screen with all of your apps in real time.

If you encounter any situation that you question or feel uncomfortable about, please contact your trusted advisor at your bank or the local authorities.
