Captain Marv’s Boat Shop is still doing maintenance on the water. I can even change your water pump impeller at your slip! As we all know parts are getting delayed for repairs. So far all the parts for maintenance have still been coming in so there should be no delays! Thank you to all my customers so far. Check out my reviews on Google! Captain Marv’s Boat Shop is proud to announce that we are back on the water with a more capable boat to handle your maintenance. It’s frustrating leaving your boat at a shop for three to five weeks for simple maintenance, now i can come to your slip, dock, or boathouse and replace impellers, conduct oil changes, fuel filters, gear oil and much more. Good afternoon boaters! Recently in the shop I’ve had a lot of customers stop by with overheating issues. After diagnosing and giving them a call there is an issue. It suprises me how many people don’t know about your engines main cooling component, the impeller! Every engine, or lower unit, has one. The impeller moves the water through your thermostat to your manifolds and engine block for cooling. It should be replaced every 150 hours or every other season. If the impeller stops moving water you could overheat and cause serious damage. I know most of y’all know this but thought i would put it out there in case someone doesn’t. Have a great day!
