We recently put up a small, memorial plaque to someone who had a big impact.

Jennifer Foster was a young woman who grew close with Deb Larsen, our training officer. Their bond started at the church they attended and Deb became friends with Jennifer and her parents, Brad and Michelle.

When Jennifer passed away last year, it was decided that her wheelchair would be donated to Holiday Express so we can train drivers on the best ways to secure other riders with similar challenges.

As the plaque says, "her impact to the world will live on".

It takes so many people to put together a successful year - safety minded drivers, patient paras, dependable dispatchers, communicative staff and parents who keep an eye out for the bus.

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Week and today we are focusing on our valuable men and women who make sure local students get to and from school.

Did you know we employ a number of "Paras" or bus monitors whose job it is to know the route, know the students and get them on and off the bus safely? They also let our bus drivers worry about getting to their destination safely.

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Week and today we are focusing on our valuable men and women who make sure local students get to and from school.

Holiday Express has its own garage and mechanics who take care of our vehicles on site. That means when a vehicle has an issue, we can take care of it to make sure our vehicles stay on the road.

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Week and today we are focusing on our valuable men and women behind the wheel.

Did you know we run between 30 and 40 routes a day out of our Grand Island location? That's a lot of miles and a lot of students each day school is in session. It's a job that takes dedication, care, training and, above all, safety.

We thank our bus drivers who show up for students, parents and teachers each day they're needed.
