Thanks to federal and local funding, Runway 17/35 has received a fresh fog seal and new pavement markings as part of an important airfield maintenance project.

These preventative improvements help extend the life of the runway, provide a quality operating surface for aircraft, and enhance the safety and reliability of airport operations.

Federal funding will be used to help reseal runway 17/35 at the Greeley-Weld County Airport. Late last month, the Weld County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority and City of Greeley, accepted two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants, totaling a combined $435,000 for the project.

Behind the scenes at the Greeley-Weld County Airport, our team has been busy getting ARFF-1 ready for tomorrow's Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade!

Every day, this incredible crew is prepared to protect our airport and aviation community. Tomorrow, they'll proudly represent the airport as we celebrate one of Greeley's favorite traditions.

If you're watching the parade, keep an eye out for our bright yellow or lime-green ARFF truck and be sure to give our crew a wave! 👋
