Once inside the first set of doors, take the door on the far right. That will lead down the stairs and the conference room will be on your left. An elevator is also available. Note that some browsers show an incorrect start time while other browsers are correct; this class begins at 6:00 PM CDT.

*Skywarn in a National Weather Service (NWS) program that helps critical severe weather information from local organizations and private citizens reach the NWS and local officials. Skywarn volunteers receive training in severe storm identification and safety, and when severe weather threatens, they become "storm spotters", reporting information in real-time to their local officials and/or the local NWS office. Storm spotters efforts help save lives. Their information, when combined with technology such as radar, satellite, lightning displays, as well as a better understanding of severe storms and their environment, helps NWS meteorologists in their primary mission: the issuance of warnings for the protection of life and property. NWS Chanhassen will recommend spotter activation if we anticipate there will be warnings for a county, thereby enabling spotters to be in place before storms become severe.

At Home getting my roller tray installed in my new Ram 1500 Laramie Truck thanks to the great help of Darwin Willhite/KF0FIK and the materials from Eric Friedebach/K0NUT.

This is design typically for a 5.7 size box like my old one, but this top shelf of that 5.7 mount works really well and my new truck with the 6.4 size box with is the same and exterior 8 in or so extension works perfectly for what we need to use it for. Keeps everything dry if any water comes in over the tailgate as well as in the back end.

It is so nice to have some great friends who can help you out...

Weather Update - Strong storms a brewing between hUtchinson and Mankato. The center around is Arlington now. If these storms link together, we will see very strong winds and hail and more so straight line winds.

We will see these pickup speed and size over next hour or so, plus a thunderstorm watch will likely be seen soon.

I am so happy to come off working overnight for the Arlington Area Ambulance to this nice heart warming token of support from Ambulance Manager Jaimie Weikle and the city of Arlington. This nice thermal mug will keep hot or cold drinks comfy in our truck travels.

Nice showers here in SW MN at the Nicollet/Sibley county line on Hwy-22. Some cracks of mild thunder and even mammatis clouds with some nicer downpours of rain.

The Chanhassen NWS will have a Skywarn Classes on the following dates in the area:

*Online Skywarn Training: Similar to last year we will provide online, free classes that will last around 1 hour. These classes are not as in depth as the other classes, so this functions as more of a refresher and basic training. Dates/times for the online classes will be announced soon.

Minnesota Parks On The Air Nice start before the drizzle showed up. 85 contacts on 15 meters, but boy was the bands up and down today. Still nice effort for 2 hours of work.
