Every potential concept for the I-95 Greenwich PEL Study undergoes an environmental screening process to understand how it could affect the surrounding community and natural environment. As part of the Level 2 screening process, the Study Team is evaluating potential impacts to community and environmental resources, including homes, businesses, community facilities, parks and open spaces, waterways, wetlands, coastal resources, and flood hazard areas. 🌎

During National Stop on Red Week, we’re reminded that intersection safety starts with each of us. Whether you’re driving, walking, or bicycling, obeying traffic signals and stopping on red can help prevent crashes and protect your community. 🚦 ❤️

🚲Bicycle Safety Reminder 🚲

Throughout the I-95 Greenwich PEL Study, many community members have shared that they enjoy bicycling along U.S. Route 1 and near I-95. Whether you are riding for recreation, exercise, or transportation, let’s work together to keep the roads safe for all users.

✅ Wear a properly fitting helmet
✅ Stay visible with bright or reflective clothing
✅ Follow traffic signs and signals
✅ Drivers: Give bicyclists at least 3 feet of space when passing
✅ Drivers: Always check for bicyclists before turning or opening car doors

By sharing the road and looking out for one another, we can help make Greenwich’s streets safer for all users!
