Be advised Civil Air Patrol has been commandeering air-to-air frequency 122.750MHz for their exclusive use while flying as practice intercept targets. We've been told by them to "use another frequency" during general aviation air-to-air communications. After reviewing FCC frequency assignments and FAR/AIM, we do not believe they have the authority to instruct us to vacate that frequency. The quasi-governmental Civil Air Patrol is the one that should be finding another frequency. Conducting operations on 122.750MHz is a use that does not comply with both FCC frequency assignments and the FAR/AIM table 4-1-3.
