This is a mysterious, fearful and humbling time we are in... I have made the heart wrenching decision to temporarily stop publishing Jefferson Backroads in paper format beginning with the upcoming April 2020 Issue #121. Travel restrictions limiting our attempts to continue to print and deliver thousands of paper publications to a hundred local distribution points in our loyal advertising businesses, many of which are closed or operating on a strictly curbside delivery service for the time being, have made this temporary closure a harsh reality. On top of mandated restrictions, we absolutely could not risk potentially spreading dangerous germs. I am trying hard to create some sort of a strictly electronic publication for our website and page. We are hoping to keep our communications open and to keep our small town, hard working, mom and pop businesses and our interesting stories and history on the community's radar... Our sincere hope for all of you, our fond friends and fellow businesses, is that you all stay safe, strong and as positive as possible... Let's all just UNITE in our efforts to continue to stand up for what is right. May God Bless and Protect all of our beloved and courageous first responders and medical professionals who are out there protecting our communities around the clock, all of our hard working essential service industry workers as well as our fearless and valuable delivery and truck drivers. Let's help one another to stay prepared... and make the effort to smile whenever possible...
