Our Gulf Shores boatyard boasts the largest Travelift on the northern Gulf at 150 tons. The Saunders family has been in the marine service business in coastal Alabama since 1959. With skilled technicians and craftsmen in all areas, Saunders manages projects ranging from routine maintenance to major refits and repowers. The company operates a full-service yacht yard in Gulf Shores that accommodates

vessels up to 130 feet with a 165-ton lift. This facility also provides long-term dry storage for vessels 50 feet and under.

ALDOT will implement a temporary detour that will affect all drivers traveling southbound on the Beach Express beginning Sunday, May 10 at 7 a.m. and continuing through Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

โ€ข Southbound traffic on the Beach Express will be rerouted onto Coastal Gateway Blvd (CRโ€‘8).
โ€ข From there, motorists will need to use Highway 59 to drive south.
โ€ข ALDOT will adjust and actively manage signal timings along Highway 59 to help minimize congestion.

Canal Road will be fully open during this time.

ALDOT is preparing to open the new Intracoastal Waterway Bridge in Baldwin County with a new traffic pattern.
