🎉 Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Kathy T.! 🎉

Kathy is known for transforming her bus with seasonal and holiday decorations, bringing a little extra cheer to riders traveling to medical appointments, dialysis treatments, and other essential destinations. Her creativity, kindness, and dedication help make each trip more welcoming and enjoyable.

With a background serving people with disabilities and years of transportation experience, Kathy approaches her work with compassion and empathy every day.

Thank you, Kathy, for making a difference in the lives of our riders and for helping make CTA a brighter place. ❤️

Reminder: Coast Transit Authority will be closing the DeBuys Rd. office today at 3 PM.

On Monday, May 25, CTA will operate on a limited Sunday schedule for Memorial Day. Meaning if a route does not normally run on Sundays, it will not be in service on Monday. We recommend planning your trip by looking at our Sunday schedules posted on our website: www.CoastTransit.com.

CTA honors and remembers the men and women who sacrificed their lives in service to our country this Memorial Day

RIDER ALERT:
Due to Octane Car Festival on Saturday, May 23rd, from 9:00 AM- 8:00 PM, Downtown Gulfport, between 25 Ave. and 22 Ave. will be blocked off and inaccessible. We will be rerouting our bus system to go around the event by taking Highway 90 into the transit center. Route 34 will be rerouted to 22nd Ave. from 23rd Ave. when entering and departing the Gulfport Transit Center.

There will be parking available for the event at the CTA garage next to the Mississippi Aquarium. Our free tram trolley’s loop will be shortened due to the event, but you can still get safe transportation to the east side of Jones Park and back.

Please keep in mind that this event will potentially be a high traffic event and will likely experience some delays.

There will be a reroute on R37, R38, and R34 on Friday, March 15 from 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM, which will prevent passengers from being able to be picked up at the Gulfport Police Department stop. We encourage our ridership to be picked up at the Gulfport Transit Center that day or make arrangements.

🚍✨ March Employee of the Month: Crystal J! ✨🚍

Crystal keeps Coast Transit moving as a fixed-route bus driver and steps in to support dispatch whenever needed, helping riders get where they need to go safely and efficiently. She may seem a little quiet, but anyone passing through the dispatch office, if they listen reallllly closely, might hear her near-silent giggles. 👂🏻

Originally from San Bernardino, California, Crystal brings a little West Coast energy to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She is a U.S. Navy veteran with several deployments under her belt from Guam to Israel, and she has also supported hurricane relief efforts abroad as well.

Over the past two years at Coast Transit Authority, she has become known for her calm presence and genuine care for passengers. Crystal describes herself as “vibey,” someone who can sense when people need a little extra support and delivers thoughtful, standout customer service.

We’re proud to have her on the team. Congratulations, Crystal! 👏
