⛳️🏌️‍♂️ What a fantastic day on the green! A HUGE THANK YOU to the industrial businesses and teams who came out to play and support the event. We were thrilled to bring together our region's industrial businesses, tenants, and business partners for a day filled with great camaraderie, networking, friendly competition, and community spirit. Thank you for making the 2026 Marquette Sawyer Regional Golf Scramble a success!

It was a great opportunity to step away from the office, enjoy some friendly competition, share a few laughs, and connect with the businesses that help make our community and Sawyer so strong.

🏆 Congratulations to Aymium for taking the top spot with the best score! And congratulations to everyone who participated! The competition was fun, but the real success was bringing our regional business community together.

United Airlines Delays Launch of Chicago O’Hare Service to Marquette Following Extension of FAA’s O’Hare Flight Schedule Cap
Marquette, MI — United Airlines has announced a delay to the planned launch of its new service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport (MQT) following the extension of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) flight schedule cap at ORD.
Earlier in July, the FAA announced an extension to the departure restrictions at ORD that were originally instituted in Spring of 2026. This additional extension limits ORD departure capacity through October 31, 2027 and has been implemented primarily to limit congestion during ongoing construction projects expected to last through Summer 2027.
As a result, United Airlines is delaying the start of its inaugural ORD–MQT service and intends to start service from Chicago once the FAA order expires.
“While an additional delay to this much anticipated service is unfortunate, we understand the regulatory constraints in place and recognize this order to be in interest of safety for the flying public.” said David Erhart, Airport Manager. “We appreciate United Airlines’ continued partnership and commitment to establishing this service for the Marquette community, and we look forward to its launch after the flight cap is lifted.”

🐾✈️ K9 Zeke Visits Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport! ✈️🐾

We had a special visitor at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport recently! K9 Zeke enjoyed spending time at the airport and mingling with the hustle and bustle of travelers boarding flights and arriving here at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport.

This high-energy black Labrador Retriever did a fantastic job taking in all the activity and excitement of the airport. Zeke specializes in explosive detection and tracking, and he is also working on developing his people skills.

His handler, Corporal Cassie Smith, enjoys bringing Zeke to the airport so he can experience different environments and interact with people. Based on how well he handled the busy airport atmosphere, we think Zeke will be stopping by for more visits in the future!

We look forward to seeing you again soon, Zeke! 🐕‍🦺💙

United Airlines Announces Revised Launch Date for Chicago O’Hare Service to Marquette
Marquette, MI — United Airlines has announced a revision to the planned launch of its new
service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Marquette Sawyer Regional
Airport (MQT). This adjustment is the result of operational limitations established under a recent
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) order affecting capacity at O’Hare.
As a result, the inaugural ORD–MQT service will now commence on October 25, 2026,
consistent with the anticipated expiration of the current FAA capacity restrictions.
Customers who have already secured reservations for the affected service will be given the
option to rebook on alternative flights or to receive a full refund.
“While this delay is regrettable, we recognize the importance of adhering to federal operational
requirements,” said David Erhart/Airport Manager. “We appreciate United Airlines’ continued
partnership and commitment to establishing this service for the Marquette community, and we
look forward to its launch later this year.”
