Ghanem RORO Port Notice – Sallaum Lines Forklift Updates: Please note and advise your drivers accordingly. Please send booking / dock receipt requests to [email protected]

Per Sallaum Line, “Effective Friday, October 16th, 2026, Forklift receiving at our Baltimore and Freeport terminals will be suspended until further notice while we continue to work through heavy forklift volumes currently on ground. NO EXCEPTIONS. We are putting plans in place to load all current on ground forklifts and will keep you updated as soon as we are ready for Forklift receiving to resume. Also, as a kind reminder as per our last announcement, Jacksonville forklift receiving is suspended effective tomorrow, October 15th, 2026.”

💡Do you know EVERY cost involved in RORO shipping? Most people only see the ocean freight. Here is the REAL list:

🚚 Inland Freight — Getting your vehicle from the auction or dealer lot to the port. This is a real cost. Distance matters.
🌊 Ocean Freight — The main vessel charge from U.S. port to destination port. This is the rate most people ask about first — but it's just the beginning.
🛑 Non-Runner Fees — If your vehicle does not start, steer, and brake, you'll pay a surcharge for specialized equipment to winch it aboard.
📄 Release Fees — Fees paid to release your vehicle from the terminal after arrival. Non-negotiable. Must be settled before you can collect your cargo.
🏭 Local Port of Destination Fees — These include terminal handling charges (THC), port security levies, and administrative fees charged by the destination port. These vary by country and port.
