Moving More Than Loads—Moving Projects Forward



KMX was contracted to transport eight oversize loads, ranging from legal weight up to 75,000 lbs., to a construction site in Western Pennsylvania.

With limited laydown space available, timing was critical. Our operations team coordinated each delivery closely with the installation contractor to minimize site congestion, avoid delays, and keep the project moving according to schedule.



Throughout the project, KMX provided hourly updates to both our customer and the onsite installation crew. That visibility allowed our customer to stay focused on the installation—not the logistics behind it.

KMX crews were onsite this week packaging sensitive laboratory equipment for an international transfer between our customer’s locations.



KMX’s scope doesn’t stop at export packaging. Once the ocean booking is confirmed, our team will return to live-load, block, and brace the equipment in an ocean container, with ocean transportation to the customer’s location in Asia included as part of the logistics solution.

Keeping Projects Moving: Another On-Time Export



This transformer is on its way to Australia after arriving at KMX this week for custom export packaging and just-in-time delivery to the U.S. port.



With a tight shipping schedule, our team pre-built the export crate in advance, reducing the packaging timeline by two full days. That proactive planning ensured the transformer made its scheduled vessel, helping our customer avoid a three-week delay between sailings.

38,000lb Machine. A Critical Deadline. KMX Delivered.


KMX managed the export of a 38,000lb, 38-foot-long machine that was needed on a tight timeline for operations at a lithium mine overseas.

With the project being time-sensitive, every step had to be carefully coordinated. KMX provided a complete export solution, including:

• Inbound transportation
• Secure indoor temporary storage
• Export packaging designed for up to 12 months of outdoor storage
• Final pier delivery and vessel coordination


While KMX managed the logistics, our customer was able to focus on other critical areas of their project. Our team provided daily updates throughout the process, ensuring full visibility from pickup through delivery. The overseas customer was able to secure an earlier vessel (saving 3 weeks in the shipping timeline), and through KMX’s streamlined process and proactive coordination, the machine successfully made the port cutoff.

The momentum continues — the third machine for this project arrived this week.

190,000 lbs. Moved with Confidence



This week, the fifth and final 190,000 lb. roll was loaded and secured to AAR guidelines and is now in transit to another facility for repurposing.



KMX coordinated the railcar inspection and clearance, helping keep the project moving safely and on schedule.

Import Arrival & Turnkey Installation Underway

Another imported machine has arrived at KMX this week—delivered in five permitted truckloads and now moving into the next phase of its installation.

Our team is currently managing the uncrating, staging, and preparation of the equipment until the manufacturer's European technicians arrive onsite. With a limited installation footprint, KMX is coordinating a carefully sequenced delivery and installation plan to ensure a safe, efficient, and streamlined startup process.
