ECM TRANSPORT, LLC, headquartered in Cheswick, PA, has been providing truckload services for over 30 years. er as a six truck, twelve trailer operation in Springdale, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh. Throughout the mid to late 1990´s, ECM expanded its core territory to cover the entire Mid-Atlantic region, growing both organically and through acquisition; as well as offering its customers over-the-road truckload and volume LTL services. It was at this time ECM broadened its services by unveiling a non-asset based Logistics division to offer customers 50 state capability through a strategic partner network. Understanding the critical link in the customer supply chain, ECM introduced on-board computing systems in each of its tractors in late 2007. This breakthrough enabled ECM customers the ability to track and trace their freight in real time on the company website; as well as providing up to the minute critical data events via email and electronic data interchange (EDI). In 2013, ECM purchased Motor Carrier Services (MCS) out of Toledo, OH. With approximately 80 tractors and 180 trailers on 10 acres with a state of the art maintenance facility- second to none. By purchasing other carriers, it has allowed us to provide exceptional service to our customers, emphasizing the founding thought of ECM Transport. Today, ECM operates more than 500 tractors and 2000 trailers in its 26 terminal network throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
