Job Description: Head of Maintenance
A local New Jersey company seeks a well-rounded Diesel MECHANIC who can operate independently and assist us at our current locations in:
1. Wayne, NJ
2. Dover, NJ
utilizing our fully equipped service truck .
Our company has 25 tractors, and our ever-growing fleet consists of Class 8 Volvo tractors.
We are looking for a highly knowledgeable TRUCK MECHANIC experienced with Volvo equipment and engines. Minimum of 3 to 5 years verifiable experience working with Class 8 Volvo trucks.
COMPENSATION of Diesel Mechanic:
Starting at $30.00 Hourly (guaranteed 40 hours) + Benefit package +
$ 2,500 bonus after 90 days.
REQUIREMENTS of Diesel Mechanic:
Sunday thru Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday ( you choose)
Start time will be 7:00 A.M. each day.
Working knowledge of power units and transmissions.
Experience utilizing Volvo Premium Tech Tool diagnostic software REQUIRED.
Able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair A/C systems.
Knowledge of both, drum and disk brake systems and capable of diagnosing air brake related problems.
Must be able to mount, dismount and repair tires properly.
Must be capable of working independently.
Own basic tools required. The rest will be supplied.
Working knowledge of DPF & DEF systems.
Federal inspection, A/C, and engine certifications are preferred.
