Apparently, our dumpsters now come with unexpected passengers.

We delivered a dumpster to Holloway Roofing and somewhere along the way, this little guy decided to hitch a ride.

Not sure if he was looking for a new roof, a free ride, or just wanted to inspect the jobsite himself… but he definitely showed up ready for work.

CHECK OUT THAT FINISH!

We’ve got some different millings coming in from the work we’re doing on I-81, and these have more of a brown/natural tint than what we normally carry.

The picture says it better than we can — this lane has been spread and rolled, and these millings packed in NICE.

Same quality material, just a different look. We’re calling this batch the upgraded edition because apparently driveways can be fancy too.

Getting rid of what you don’t want and bringing you what you do.

Roll-off truck headed out with a dumpster while the dump truck is getting loaded down with millings.

Basically, if you’ve got too much stuff — we’ll haul it off.
If you need more stuff — we’ll haul that in too.

Our roll-off truck was already running wide open keeping dumpsters moving, so we called in one of our heavy-hauling pros in the dump truck to lend a hand. Then the crane did the heavy lifting... literally!

It takes a good crew and great teamwork to keep jobs moving, and we're always glad to work alongside our friends at Baker Roofing.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from S&K Contracting! 🇺🇸

We hope your grill stays hot, your cooler stays cold, and nobody ends up explaining to the ER how the fireworks "seemed like a good idea at the time."

Eat too much. Laugh too hard. Spend time with the people who matter. And if you're the one in charge of the fireworks... remember, all ten fingers are a pretty good goal.

Have an awesome, safe Fourth of July! We'll be back to moving dirt, building projects, and making things happen after the holiday.

Happy Friday!

Spent part of today sitting on a mountain of dirt after doing inspections and taking pictures on one of our jobsites. And honestly, I'll take that view over staring out an office window any day.

Before anyone asks... yes, that is hydroseed all over my boots. I don't always just sit on jobsites looking important and taking pictures... sometimes they make me help.

I've spent a lot of time this week out checking on jobs, and one thing that always stands out is just how hard our crew's work. Especially this week. The heat has been absolutely brutal, but these guys keep showing up, climbing in the equipment, and getting the job done.

Meanwhile, I'm over here enjoying my dirt pile views, snapping photos, filling out inspection reports, and trying not to get run over by equipment.

I'm thankful for the crew, thankful for dirt pile office views, and definitely thankful it's finally Friday.

So, here's to Friday, cold drinks, air conditioning, and not having to set an alarm tomorrow morning.
