Ray Guansing came to trucking from behind a camera!

Ray joined the team in January 2024 after graduating from WCTC - Waukesha County Technical College and making a career change from photography. The bonus for us is that we get some really great truck pictures out of it. Ray has also been a big help going along to career fairs to talk about what being a truck driver is really like and his experience on the Laufer team.

Recently Ray moved into a new to him 2025 Freightliner and he looks great in it. Keep up the good work Ray 🤩 📸 Ray Guansing

Not our usual freight! Big Al recently made a trip down to the Saint Louis area to pick up a load of statues for our friend Father Dale Grubba.

A lot of people know Father Grubba as the racing priest. He's been writing about and photographing stock car racing for many decades and has given the invocation at Slinger Super Speedway occasionally during that time. He's spent the last few years restoring the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Endeavor WI, the first shrine of its kind in Wisconsin, built back in the 1950s for the migrant families who farmed the mucklands. The statues Al hauled are the Stations of the Cross and they're standing on the grounds up there now.

Carolyn and her dad Norman, who is 92, rode along for the delivery and got the full tour. What a day and what a story 💙

Yesterday was a beautiful day for Pink Pumpkin Run downtown Hartford!

We’ve been participating in this event for many years and it’s one of those causes you can really feel good about. All of the money stays local and supports women and their families affected by breast cancer.

Our part time driver Jerry Mehlum always volunteers to take our truck and trailer to serve as the stage. Jerry’s wife Linda is a board member, support leader (and survivor) for Pink Pumpkin. As Linda told us yesterday “who would have thought a small group of women could make all this happen”, as yesterday broke records with somewhere near 875 participants.

The streets were packed with pink and we look forward to watching this event continue to grow and help even more women and families! 💕

Andre Kaczmarek found this one on his trailer frame a couple of weeks back, doing a walk around before an early run down to Addison IL. Then yesterday Ray Guansing had one sitting on his windshield near Pewaukee, looking right at him. Two in two weeks! They're a lot bigger than you'd expect up close and kind of dinosaur like.

Michael Croft catches more rainbows than anyone in our fleet! He's been with us for 12 years, and these came in on a recent multi stop run down through South Bend IN, Harrison OH and Columbus OH. Michael likes to get rolling early and covers a lot of miles in a week, always with a good attitude no matter how the day changes on him. Being ready for change is one of the most useful things a driver can bring to this job. Thanks for sending these along 🌈 📸

Got to hang out with our friends at Steam Locomotive Heritage Association today!

If you want to see the train in action they’ll be leaving the Wisconsin Auto Museum around 8:30am tomorrow and heading east to Grand Ave. Then they will head back to the west and go to Burnett WI. Don’t miss the chance to check it out!

Also, the train is always in need of more financial help, so consider checking out their page. It’s a great piece of history and we’re lucky to have it so close to home. The Santa Train in November is a super opportunity to support the train and the community! 🚂
