When you look at these still pictures you probably just see a golden ball of light. What I see when I watch this drive cam event is a car passing multiple vehicles at high rates of speed the last vehicle being a semi. I see my driver go from 56 mph to 22 mph in the blink of an eye. I see a purple backpack flying from the seat to the floor. I see a driver scared and shaken knowing what that outcome would have been if she didn't slow down and get out of the way. This was on Rt 23 this morning leaving Harvard. We need to stop driving with a blatant disrespect for the other vehicles and drivers on the road. Allow yourself plenty of time to get to where you need to be safely, pass vehicles when it's safe to do so. Make changes to your driving behaviors before the outcome is far more tragic. This is a PSA from all our drivers and aides. Help keep them and their students safe, their lives matter too.
