❤️ **Closing a Chapter — Sheri’s Crafty Coop** ❤️
This is a post I’ve gone back and forth about writing, but I think it’s finally time.
**Etsy is officially closed.**
First and foremost, I want to say **THANK YOU.** Thank you for every order, every share, every recommendation, every repeat customer, and every person who trusted me to create something special for them over the years. The love and support you have shown Sheri’s Crafty Coop has been incredible, and I will forever be grateful for it.
But I’m ready to close this chapter and focus on what comes next.
Being a small business owner is rewarding, but it is also exhausting—especially when you are a one-person operation wearing **every single hat.** Designer. Printer. Customer service. Purchasing. Packaging. Shipping. Bookkeeping. Social media. Problem solver. And everything else in between.
Somewhere along the way, the hobby I once loved became another job. And when something you used to do because it brought you joy no longer feels joyful, sometimes you have to give yourself permission to stop.
The past few months have also put a lot into perspective for me. With my son being sick, navigating appointments and everything that comes with that, while also working and trying to keep the shop running, I simply don't have the bandwidth to continue doing it all.
And I want to be clear—I am **not saying Sheri’s Crafty Coop is gone forever.** I don't know what the future holds. But **for right now, I need to close this chapter.**
And what a chapter it has been. ❤️
I am incredibly proud of what I built. Over the last four years, I maintained **Etsy Star Seller every single month except ONE.** For a one-woman small business, that is something I will always be proud of.
The reality of running a small business has changed, too. Costs continue to rise, including shipping. When it costs me **more than $8 just to ship a flat mailer**, I either have to pass that cost on to my customers or absorb it myself—and neither option feels sustainable anymore.
So, with all of that combined, **it's time to close up shop.**
For my local customers: If you already have an order pending with me, **your order will be completed.** If you reach out in the future and I still have my printer, have the materials you need, and have the time to complete your order, I may still accept it. If I can't, I hope you'll understand.
This little business has been such a huge part of my life. I've learned so much, created so many things, met some wonderful people, and accomplished more with it than I ever imagined when I started.
But sometimes success isn't just knowing how to keep something going.
Sometimes it's knowing **when you're ready to let it go.**
From the bottom of my heart, **thank you for loving and supporting Sheri’s Crafty Coop all these years.** Whether you placed one order or fifty, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, or simply cheered me on—you helped make this little dream successful.
I'm closing this chapter with a very grateful heart. ❤️
