Scope of work
ULS is a growing logistics company looking for its next Brokerage/Sale Executive coming up on our 6th year in business. Duties include securing and booking carriers to transport freight and tracking the shipment to ensure successful completion of transactions. Build a network of core carriers and a pipeline of customers for daily productivity. Cold call and solicit new business. Traffic, update, and learn new operating systems to help your personal growth as an employee. Get trained by other experienced logistics sales reps to learn markets, quote freight, update customers, and grow a book of new business. You should be able to work flexible hours involving all time zones and be available by phone and email after. We seek a team member with outgoing personality, multitasking and not afraid of a phone job, that is interested in building a career in Logistics not just a βjobβ.
Expectation of Performance
1-2 Months of Employment- a diligent effort to acquire customers that are using Unicron for their freight shipping needs. Making 50-100 cold calls a day to acquire new business. Making 50-100 calls a day to find trucks to cover shipments. Cover and move loads and work direct with customer sales-reps to maximize profits on every shipment
3-4 months β averaging $200 daily margin (per month) on the customer side.
6 months- averaging $350 daily margin (per month) on the customer side.
9 months β averaging $550 daily margin (per month) on the customer side.
BROKER'S DUTIES
Brokers will communicate with Account Executives daily to address daily goals.
Training for daily rates and lane value will be mandatory once a week
Freight will be posted daily and updated every 30 minutes before 10 am local time, every 15 minutes thereafter.
Target rate will be sought until load hits Red Flag timing.
Red Flag loads will be addressed immediately and reported to Group-Me account and with designated Account Executive.
Brokers are to establish relationships with Carriers in order to strengthen their ability to cover freight.
Daily calls and emails to qualified Carriers in Las Vegas and to Carriers based in frequent lanes and future project freight or future lanes from prospective clients.
Project freight will be pre-booked with qualified Carriers prior to posting freight.
Common lanes will be pre-booked with qualified Carriers prior to posting freight.
The idea is that posting freight is the last option. Keeping your core Carriers happy and loyal with year around pricing.
Previous experience is preferred but not required.
