Federal officials say they just ordered 260 trucking schools shut down or removed — and more than 5,000 drivers are tied to the crackdown. 😳
According to the report, 110 CDL schools were targeted after being linked to drivers who failed English-language proficiency requirements, while another 150 schools were accused of using unlicensed instructors or not even having proper space to train drivers behind the wheel. Officials also say a one-day sweep looked at more than 200 training schools across 23 states.
The government says this is about getting fraudulent schools and unqualified drivers off the road, while critics will probably argue the crackdown could go too far. Do you think trucking schools need WAY more oversight, or is the government getting too involved?
