Fort Pillow State Historic Park

Fort Pillow State Historic Park Fort Pillow State Historic Park is a 1,625 acre park located in Southwest Lauderdale County in West Tennessee. The park is open 7am to Sunset, 7 days a week.

The park is home to Fort Pillow Battlefield which was the site of the Fort Pillow Massacre. This park includes 1600+ acres of conserved land and an old confederate fort. There is hiking to be done and civil war artifacts to see here. There are also campgrounds and a pavilion to rent. Fort Pillow State Historic Park hosted their Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo Saturday. Thanks to everyone who participated. Special Thanks to Ripley Wal-Mart, Covington Wal-Mart, Ripley Dairy Queen, David Wheeler, and Brent Brown and Family for the donations and prizes. Special Thanks to TWRA for stocking the catfish for the kids as well!

Fort Pillow State Historic Park was the recipient of the 2026 Go Green Funding Opportunity. The park received battery operated tools such as chainsaws, w**d trimmers, pole saws, drills, leaf blowers, water pumps, power inverter, shop vacuum, and much more! The items received will be used throughout the park, especially on the trail system. The staff of Fort Pillow is super excited about the new tools received!
