So earlier this year we started renovating the barn. The past 3 months or so have been super busy! We were able to get the calves moved out and the goats moved in. Hay and straw up in the loft. It’s gone a long way.

It’s hay season, equipment breaks and we understand. Need any tractors, bailers, or any other equipment worked on give us a call!

As many of you know Mitchell and I are up to about 18 head of cattle and the 5 we started with are way too big for the little barn they were in and they were stuck in so much mud due to the rain. So Gary, Mitchell and I had started this project about a week or so ago and with our busy schedules we finally got it finished and the cows moved in. They feel much better now that that have some grass to eat and are out of the mud.

Not what we had planned for today, but the rain kind of ruined our plans. I had asked Mitchell if he would help me build a feeder for our younger cows because I was sick of them walking all over their dishes and using their hay as bedding. He had the idea of using wood, but Gary said he should just use steel. So that’s what we (he) did lol. I’m not a welder and the rain made me cold so Mitch and Gary had finished this and let me say it looks great and the cows love it. It’s the perfect height for them!

When Alaina got this truck we had no idea how rusty the box was underneath the bead liner and we over loaded it with feed once and it broke down on one side. She was driving it around how it was and when she put it in the ditch a few weeks back it got worse and since it was too rusty for the insurance company to fix I took matters into my own hands and fixed it myself. My dad had the great idea of cutting the piece we needed out of a different truck bed and weld it into hers. It worked out great! It took a little longer than we had planned but it’s done and almost as good as new. She’s happy to have it back.
