When we went to South Carolina to visit my dad, I came across this absolutely beautiful place in Clinton and started taking pictures. 📸 I had no idea at the time that I was looking at Thornwell Charter School — I just knew there was something special about it.

Then I started reading the history… and this is the part that got me. ❤️

✨ 1875 — Thornwell begins helping and educating children.
✨ 2007 — The original Thornwell School closes.
✨ 2017 — Planning begins for a new charter school.
✨ 2019 — Thornwell Charter School opens.
✨ 2025 — The first new graduating class receives their diplomas. 🎓

That is 150 years of history tied to helping, educating, and building a future for children. What do you think .50 cents has to do with the story?🪙

And to think… I stopped simply because I thought the buildings were beautiful. 🥹 Sometimes you take a picture of a place before you ever realize just how much of a story is sitting behind it.

Now I’m REALLY glad I stopped. ❤️
