It’s been the typical October bite nearshore, when the weather allows. Bull drum, king mackerel and some big Spanish mackerel. In the backwater there’s been action from black drum, sheepshead, redfish and some speckled trout are deciding to play. Fall time fishing in Holden Beach, is falling into place, hopefully the approaching cold front will really kick it off good. 6 hour nearshore trips when weather allows are popular this time of year chasing the big bull drum, along with king mackerel. What started off as a slower week around Holden Beach turned into a steady week! The next 2 weeks is going to be busy with flounder season opening up. We still have availability to get in on the action.

Summer is winding down, but some of our favorite fishing of the year is just getting started!

We’ll continue targeting sheepshead, black drum, redfish and speckled trout. Flounder season is September 1st–14th, and we still have some dates open.

Once those north winds start blowing, the fall bite really gets going with big bull reds, Spanish and king mackerel, along with plenty of action in the backwaters.

We have openings for the rest of August, flounder season and throughout the fall. Give me a call or message and let’s get you on the water!
