Generations on the Move We specialize in assisting senior-aged clients and their families with moving or relocating. Generations on the Move, Inc.

is a service based business, meeting and exceeding the needs of baby boomers and senior citizens faced with the challenge of downsizing from their current homes. Founded by Kim McCarthy in 2007, GotM are Senior Relocation Specialists and as such, has perfected the "art of downsizing" while respecting the needs of the individual. GotM delivers an unequaled concierge level experience to our clients and their families, and our experience has earned us recommendations from our clients, their families as well as many senior living communities in central New England. Often our clients are downsizing and moving for the first time in many years and for most, the idea of this transition can be overwhelming. However, engaging the services of GotM connects older adults and their families with valuable and critical services that make for a smooth and successful transition

Sometimes there are no words. 🤍

That hug. Those happy tears. This is why we do what we do.

It’s more than a move—it’s making a new place feel like home. 🏡

One week. A whole lot of teamwork. A home ready for its next chapter. 🏡✨

This beautiful home at 674 South Street in Shrewsbury hit the market today, and Generations on the Move is proud to have helped get it ready!

In just one week, we pre-packed, helped the family’s two grown children sort through the childhood bedrooms they grew up in, downsized, staged the home, and worked alongside the realtor to help with whatever was needed.

Sorting through years of memories is about more than packing boxes. It’s about helping a family move forward with care—and we’re grateful they trusted us to be part of that process. ❤️

All this home needs now is a buyer!

“It looks familiar.” ❤️

Exactly what we hope to hear during a new apartment reveal.

For this move to Briarwood, we used her own belongings to make her new space feel like home, while carefully arranging everything so she could comfortably navigate in her wheelchair.

And her final verdict? “It all works.” 🥹❤️

That’s what it’s all about at Generations on the Move.

If you’re not using it, why are you storing it? 😉

Downsizing doesn’t have to mean giving up the things you love. It means making room for the things you actually use and enjoy.

At Generations on the Move, we help you sort, declutter, consign, donate, pack and unpack — making your next chapter a little lighter. 🤍

Less stuff. Less stress. More life. 🌿
