We had an interesting visit today. For anyone who doesn’t know the history of this Airport, the US Air Force conducted their Pilot Screening Program from the 1970’s to early 2000’s out here. The aircraft they used was the T-41 Mescalero, which is a military modified version of the Cessna 172. This aircraft MSN likely rolled through here at some point in its life to train our Air Force pilots. Was amazing to see it here (again)!

Another epic year with Shift-S3ctor at the 6th Annual South Texas Airstrip Attack presented by Calvo Motorsports & Cerio. Thank you to all the sponsors, supporters, staff (SS3 & Airport) and emergency services of this event.
