RHOADES AVIATION D/B/A TRANSAIR WORKING TO RESUME INTER-ISLAND AIR CARGO SERVICE AFTER JUDGE REJECTS FAA COMPLAINT
Honolulu, HI – [April 8, 2025] – Rhoades Aviation, Inc. d/b/a Transair looks forward to resuming inter-island air cargo service in Hawaii as soon as late 2025. This resumption is possible, pending regulatory approvals, after an Administrative Law Judge of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) ruled in favor of Rhoades Aviation and dismissed with prejudice the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s attempt to revoke Rhoades Aviation’s operating certificate. The NTSB judge also directed, and the FAA and RAI have agreed, that Rhoades Aviation and the FAA will work together on RAI’s efforts to resume its cargo air transportation services.
“We appreciate the NTSB judge’s thorough review of this matter,” said Teimour Riahi, CEO of Transair. “We look forward to doing now what we have wanted all along: to work collaboratively with the FAA so that Transair can provide vitally important cargo air transportation for the benefit of Hawaii’s residents, communities, and businesses.”
“We remain committed to upholding the highest safety standards as we work to restore Hawaii’s only locally owned Part 121 airline,” added Riahi.
