CDL-A Flatbed/Step Deck Driver Wanted for Dedicated Steel Mill Freight in Southern Texas
We are a family-oriented Veteran owned transportation company seeking a motivated and experienced Class A CDL driver with extensive flatbed and step deck experience to join our team.
You will be hauling dedicated freight for a major steel mill in southern Texas, ensuring timely and safe delivery of steel products. This is a regional/local position, offering you consistent home time and the opportunity to be a part of our supportive company culture.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive Pay: Earn $1300-$1600 per week before taxes (1099)
Flexible Home Time: Enjoy a balanced work-life with flexible home time being 1-2 nights during the week and weekends off.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport steel products from the mill to various destinations throughout southern Texas.
Lanes include Sinton, Tx -> Houston, San Antonio & Ft Worth, Tx.
Secure loads properly using chains, binders, and straps, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and functionality.
Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure seamless operations.
Equipment:
You will be operating a well-maintained 2019 Freightliner Cascadia 126 equipped with an for your comfort and convenience w/ a 48ft Step Deck
Driver Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of flatbed and step deck experience.
Minimum 23 years of age.
No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
No more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
Clean MVR with a decent/good rating.
Ability to pass a drug test.
