Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Houston, TX for a Local Class A Truck Driver. The Truck Driver will be responsible for driving trucks to designated locations, adhering to delivery schedules, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods. Daily tasks include loading and unloading freight, following DOT regulations, and maintaining vehicle conditions to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A license
Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the previous 5 years
Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
To be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Truck maintenance
Excellent navigation and route planning skills
Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks
Prior experience in intermodal trucking or freight solutions is important
High school diploma or equivalent
