If a trucking company wants to check your FMCSA Clearinghouse record again, they generally need your consent for that query.

For example, you give an employer permission to check your record when you're applying for a job. If they need to run another query later, you may need to provide consent again.

Here's what CDL drivers should know:

If you don't have an employer, a **Consortium/Third-Party Administrator (C/TPA)** can coordinate your Return-to-Duty (RTD) drug test and complete the required reporting to the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
