Trap-Neuter-Return is a humane approach to managing the overpopulation of feral cats. It will take time, resources and lots of effort--but TNR programs are proving to be the one solution to the feral cat overpopulation problem that really works. Those of us doing this work are VOLUNTEERS and, in order to better manage our time, we have made the following changes to clarify what we do, how we opera

te and how we will respond to messages. Please be aware, we ARE NOT a cat/kitten rescue--so we will not take cats or kittens you have or that you have found. Our mission is to TRAP feral cats, get them NEUTERED [and spayed], and RETURN them to the location they were trapped. We do offer transportation services to cat owners who are willing to pay the spay/neuter costs and a small transportation fee. Contact us via the email address listed below. Facebook messages are no longer being answered. If you are interested in contacting us, please send an email to [email protected] and we will respond to you as quickly as possible. Unless directed to do so, please do not call or leave voice mails--unsolicited phone calls may not be returned. Please be aware we have a very long list of feral cat colonies and locations that we are working to get TNR’d, which can only be done as funds are available. The surgeries are not free--the cost of spaying/neutering these cats come from donations, fundraisers, gifts and out of the pockets of those of us doing this work—and we are all volunteers. As another busy month comes to a close, we’re looking ahead with hopeful hearts and determination for the work still to come.

Kitten season is only beginning.
Summer trapping season is ramping up.
And every day, more community cats will need food, shelter, medical care, and compassion.

But because of this incredible community, we know we are not facing it alone. 💛

🐾💛 End of Month Reflection 💛🐾

As May comes to a close, we just want to pause for a moment and say… thank you.

Thank you to every volunteer who set a trap.
Thank you to every transporter running on coffee and compassion.
Thank you to every donor, supporter, foster, follower, and community member cheering us on.

Because of YOU:
🐾 Cats received food, care, and medical support
🐾 Community cats were safely trapped and altered
🐾 Kittens were given brighter futures
🐾 Awareness and compassion continued spreading throughout Logan County

TNR work is not always glamorous. Sometimes it’s long nights, worried hearts, muddy shoes, and emotional exhaustion. But every life helped matters. Every single one.

At the Logan County TNR Project, we believe real change happens one paw at a time — and together, this community continues proving that kindness is stronger than indifference. 💛

As we head into the busy summer season and the height of kitten season, we know there is still so much work ahead… but we also know we are not doing it alone.

🌸🐱 Kitten Season is Here! 🐱🌸

Springtime isn’t just for flowers — it’s kitten season! Across our community, countless newborn kittens are entering the world. While these tiny paws are adorable, many are vulnerable without the guidance of their mothers.

At the Logan County TNR Project, we want to remind everyone:

💛 Not every kitten needs to be rescued immediately. Sometimes mom is nearby, watching and caring for them. Intervening too soon can separate babies from their best chance at survival.

💛 Spay & neuter is the most effective way to prevent future litters and reduce the struggles of unwanted kittens in the community.

💛 Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) ensures adult cats don’t contribute to overpopulation while still protecting the next generation of kittens.

By learning when to step in and when to give mom a chance, we can save lives safely and responsibly — one paw at a time. 🐾

Humane trapping is one of the most important parts of successful TNR work — and a calm cat is a safer cat. 💛🐈

One of our favorite trapping tips?
🧺 Cover your trap with a towel or blanket once the cat is safely inside.

Why?
✔️ Helps reduce stress and fear
✔️ Keeps cats calmer during transport
✔️ Prevents injury from panic thrashing
✔️ Creates a darker, den-like environment where they feel safer

🐾 Memorial Day — Honoring Those Who Served 🐾

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we are forever grateful. ❤️🤍💙

At the Logan County TNR Project, we also recognize the quiet compassion shown by so many veterans, military families, and community members who continue serving others — including the animals who depend on kindness to survive.

As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones today, may we remember those who never made it home, and may we strive to build communities rooted in compassion, care, and hope. 🐈💛

☀️🐾 Summer Is Coming — Let’s Help Our Community Cats Stay Cool! 🐾☀️

As temperatures begin to rise here in Ohio, our outdoor and community cats will soon be feeling the heat. A few small acts of kindness can make a huge difference during the hot summer months. 💛🐈

Here are a few easy ways to help:
💧 Put out fresh water in shaded areas
🌳 Make sure shelters have airflow and protection from direct sun
🧊 Freeze water bottles or place cool tiles in shaded spaces
🚗 Always check vehicles before starting engines
🐾 Keep an eye out for signs of dehydration or heat exhaustion

For many community cats, these small comforts can mean the difference between struggling and surviving through the summer heat.

🐾💛 A Small Apology & Meeting Reminder 💛🐾

I want to sincerely apologize for the confusion surrounding today’s monthly meeting post.

Unfortunately, the flyer accidentally listed the incorrect day of the week while still showing the correct date, and I now know of at least two wonderful supporters who arrived today because of that mistake. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and confusion this caused. 💛
