West Virginia American Water officially purchased the Nitro Regional Wastewater Utility this (Tuesday) morning in a signing ceremony in Nitro’s City Council Chambers. The water utility will now own and operate the city’s water and wastewater systems. The acquisition process started nearly four years ago and was finalized after the WV Public Service Commission recently approved the sale. Signing for city of Nitro was Mayor Dave Casebolt (l) and for WVAW was President Scott Wyman (r)
