Nisly Brothers Trash Services We are a local, family owned trash company that specializes in personalized customer service. Our company has been local, family owned and operated since 1956.

Menno Nisly started Nisly Brothers Trash Services with one truck and one employee. Today his sons Harold, Marvin and Arnold still own and operate the business with 38 employees. Since that small beginning we have provided a wide variety of waste collection services to our customers throughout our service area.

This coming Monday is Labor Day and one of the Reno County Landfill Holidays.

Due to this, Nisly Brothers will be closed. All residential trash and recycling services that are scheduled for Monday, September 7 - Friday, September 11 will be postponed one day.

We had so much fun at the Yoder Heritage Day parade on Saturday! Several of our employees and their children and friends rode through the parade on the back of a 20 yard roll off.

Cooperation is our Character Core of the Month!

Meriam Webster states that cooperation is “the actions of someone who is being helpful by doing what is wanted or asked for.” Cooperation is a key characteristic for any human to have. If a person is not willing to cooperate or compromise with others, whether in personal life or at work, they will not get very far.
Being cooperative is a big part of community. We have become more and more individualistic in our lives, but community is very important, and cooperating with others in community is important. It is hard to create a community if no one listens to or helps anyone else.

Chisholm Trail Shopping Center, located at 601 SE 36th St, Newton, has multiple stores, services, food, and a movie theater all in one spot! From Famous Footwear to Game On to Moyo Boutique to RC Pitstop & Raceway, Chisholm Shopping Center has it all.

If you are hungry, you can stop at Le J’s Bar-B-Que for a bite to eat. Want to watch a movie? They have a movie theater that also has a party room! There are also multiple services at the shopping center, including a Wedding Coordination/Event Rentals/Design company, Something Borrowed, and the Newton Performing Arts Center.

Last week, our driver Robert was out on his regular route when he came across something unexpected. Up ahead, he noticed a vehicle that had accidentally struck a mailbox and a tree!
Without hesitation, Robert pulled to the side of the road and ran to check on everyone involved.
Later, we got a text saying, “We’re choosing gratefulness that God’s protection let my kids and I walk away from this scene with only a few scratches! Robert was one of our Good Samaritans this morning, calling 911 for me and staying until first responders arrived. He deserves some recognition for being willing to slow down his day and help bring some support to our distraught little crew.”
At Nisly Brothers, we believe that being part of a community means looking out for one another. For our drivers, this often means removing trash and providing an essential service with a smile. However, it sometimes means stopping to lend a hand when a neighbor needs it most.
Robert, thank you for representing our team with compassion, kindness, and a willingness to put people first. We’re grateful to have you on our team, and we’re thankful that everyone involved is safe!
