A beautiful old family photo with an amazing story.

According to grandfather's grandson, this is Siman Alaraj with his wife Azizeh and his two siblings, Helaneh and Mitri Alaraj. At the time this photo was taken, Siman was already in his 90s, and Azizeh was pregnant with their son, Naim Alaraj. Siman went on to live to the incredible of 115.

This scene reflects the true face of ; Gaza of the sea, the port, and the ships. Gaza, which throughout history has been a gateway to trade and a vibrant center of activity between continents and civilizations. Here, sails filled the horizon, and ships returned laden with the bounty of the sea and the goods of merchants, while the port bore witness to centuries of communication and cultural and commercial exchange. This image encapsulates the history of a city that embraced the sea, making it part of its identity and memory, and which, despite all it has endured, has remained steadfast in its rich maritime heritage. 🇵🇸

In times of immense hardship, holding onto the hope of education is an act of resilience. Rawaa, has always dreamt of becoming a dentist to serve the community, but the current reality in Gaza has made this path incredibly difficult to sustain.
Despite the surrounding destruction and constant instability, Rawaa has remained steadfast in her commitment to her studies at the Faculty of Dentistry. However, the financial burden of continuing her education under these circumstances is overwhelming, and she cannot do it alone.
We are reaching out to ask for your support in ensuring her academic journey does not come to an end. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps cover essential educational costs and provides her with a vital lifeline to a future where she can heal and help others.
