Week ???☺️ This is the second part of my big update🙃 We went to a Chicago Bulls game! They sadly lost but it was a really nice game to see🏀 After seeing the game we went to eat at Burger King, my dad crowned me as the Queen👑😎 We spent the night in Chicago and used our second day to visit☺️ On the way back to Indiana we saw a Harley Davidson store and decided to go inside and take a look, it was really cool to see!🤩 On Friday we went to Cincinnati, the weather wasn’t the best but we still had our fun! We ended up in a shopping mall in a game place like Dave & Buster’s and we were able to watch the soccer game of Belgium😍⚽️ They won 3-0 to Sweden, amazing! We played billards in there as well and I beat my boyfriend for the very first time! I couldn’t not mention this😎😂 Me and my boyfriend also enjoyed our last full day being together💕 The last morning, we went to eat breakfast at Craker Barrel, it was good but way too much for me to eat! That whole week with them was again amazing! I loved being able to hug them again🫂 I myself have been feeling a little off these last couple of days. I’ve had an amazing week with my parents but I guess now that that’s over, I’m back to being a little sad. Let’s just hope those sad emotions go away quickly because honestly, it’s very hard to feel like this every day🥱 But i’ll get through it, like I always get through everything!💪 I’ll try to give you guys updates more often since i know a lot of you love to read this, and at the same time you get some “news” from me🙃 So hopefully next update very soon!

Week ???☺️ Since i’ve skipped so many weeks I lost count🙈 Anyway, Show Choir State Champion whaaattttt????🏆 2 weeks ago on Saturday was our very last competition, State finals! We won the title of State Champions, that feeling was just amazing! I have no words to dedcribe it☺️ The best part of it all is that my parents and boyfriend got to see my very last performance and very last victory😍 Oh how great it was to have them with me to celebrate all this🫶 Sunday was one exciting day, we went to Dave & Buster’s and has lots of fun! Monday was my boyfriend and I’s one year anniversary, one whole year, it went by so quickly it’s crazy!😍 We went to dinner to the Melting Pot and had fondue (which is the only food they serve😂) , our dessert fondue was a chocolate yin & yang, it was de-le-cious🤩 On Tuesday we visited the Indy 500 motor speedway🏎️ It was so fun to visit, we obviously had to stop and kiss the good luck bricks on the track!🧱🍀 My das LOVED Indy 500! That weekend was amazing! Finally reuniting with my parents and family after 8 months felt like heaven, the feeling that I felt is just indescriptible, it was simply amazing🥰 This was only the first part of their visit! Week 28,29&30 part 2.0☺️ This second part will be very short! We went out to eat for Schuyler’s birthday! We went to an “all you can eat” buffet with meat. It was A LOT!🤣 They kept on bringing and bringing meat!🤣 It was good though🙃 Valentines Day came! You can see that American grocery stores go all out for valentines day, you can’t walk past it without seeing it😂 It’s really cool in my opinion! After valentines day, the girls from the youth group and I celebrated galentines day, it’s valentines day but with your girl friends, your gals!:) I made a candy board to bring to it😋 I myself am doing alright, I’m taking vitamines to boost my energy a little because i’ve been lacking motivation a lot lately, i think it’s mostly because of the tiredness and the weather😅 Other than that, my parents and boyfriend are coming in 21 days and I’m so so so excited about that! I can’t wait to see them again and to introduce them to my host family☺️ I’ll try to update you guys on Sunday evening! And now, as I always end this… Next update is next week!

Week 28,29&30 part 1.0☺️ This is THE long awaited update! Did you miss me? Hahah! I’m sorry to all you people who are excited to read these on monday mornings, i’ve kept you all waiting for a very long time now. I finally got lots of rest and i found the motivation and time to make this post! I love making these posts, but it takes forever to make them!😅 Let’s get right into it🙃 I got a subscription to the gym! I’m so happy i got this🤩 I haven’t been able to go that much yet though because Covid had been going on and then choir came along with it, i’ve juste been very busy! Talking about choir, we started the Choir competitions! We have had 3 competitions already! We were Grand Champs for 2/3 of those competitions! Competing is lots and lots of fun but it is extremely tiring! We wake up at 4.30 in the morning to then only come home at 2.30 in the morning the day after! I’ve also been duckpin bowling for the first time! It’s pretty similar to regular bowling except that it’s a shorter distance to the pins and the ball is much smaller! It’s a little biffer than a petanque ball! (I won, but only because i cheated and asked the guy who worked there to change my score🤣). I made a home made chocolate pizza! It was really good😋 Kristy, Withney and I went to Dave & Buster’s one night, it’s a place full of fun games, i loved playing all those games so much! I win at basically every game🤣 We played a racing game on motorcycles, i chose the pink one🤩💕 We also played d & sonic olympic games and i chose to play with the character Yoshi, that is simply to represent my sister, when i was a little kid and we played on the Wii, she would always pick Yoshi, so that’s what i did too!☺️ The craziest thing happened, i spun the when and i got the jackpot! I win 1000 tickets! It was amazing🤩 I had never had that before and i loved it!🤩🤩 That is all i have for this part, read part 2 for the rest🙃❤️

Week 27☺️ This week went by faster than I’m able to blink! It has been an amazing week! On Tuesday i had a choir rehearsal, I went to McDonalds afterwards with my friend Ava and one of her friends Abby!:) Once i got home John decided to go take me to a basketball game which i LOVED! It was soooo so fun to watch! The ambiance was amazing, such an great experience! Once the game was over (and the Pacers won😎), we went to John’s favorite restaurant “Harry & Izzy’s”. I ate a crème brûlée, there was a Strawberry on top which was unusual, but it was very good!😋 On Wednesday we had a Snowday, which meant online classes 😞 But i got to sleep longer which was very much appreciated!🤣 I also made a Strawberry cake which everyone loved!🙃 On Thursday we had a parent preview of our show in choir, my host parents came to watch it and brought me flowers🥰 You can see my host mom, Kristy, and I on that picture🥰 Saturday we went to Harry & Izzy’s again😅 This time we ate dinner! I met family friends🙃 The steak i had was really good! (Not better than my dad’s though😉) Since that restaurant is downtown we had a little tour of downtown:) Today i’ve played some donky kong on the arcade machine!:) John and I have been battling each other, everytime i make it on the leaderboard he tries to get me off, but now he’s on a business trip, and i got back on the scoreboard😎 My host mom tried to make Carbonade Flammande tonight, I made home made fries to go with it! It was good! For dessert we had Key Lime pie and chocolate covered strawberries!😍 This week has been amazing! We played board games one night, that was really fun too! I’ve been doing really great, school’s going good aswell! I’m very happy with what’s happening in my life lately🙃 This is all I have for you guys this week! Next update is next week☺️

Week 25&26☺️ These 2 weeks have been full of events! We had a girls night with the girls from choir! It was such a fun night☺️ During that night, some girls and I went to CVS to get some snacks, you can see Lily and I, i love Lily! She’s so sweet🥰 We celebrated Jeremy’s birthday! Whoop whoop🥳 On Monday we didn’t have school because it was Martin Luther King day, but we still had choir rehearsal😅 As some of you know, I moved families over the weekend too, nothing happened! I just changed families!:) On Monday, Kristy, Schuyler and I went to The Garage, it’s a place that has multiple little shops, there’s food places, clothes places, even a barber!😂 We went there for desert, we all got a milkshake, it was really good!!😋 On the next picture you can see Clyde, that’s one of the 4 cats in my new home:) He cleary prefers for me to pet him than do my homework!🤣 On Friday, since I get out of school earlier, Kristy, Schuyler and I went to Cake Bake. It’s a restaurant that’s famous for their cake (obviously), they’re famous thanks to Oprah!🤩 I ate salmon sliders with fries and had a raspberry champagne cake! Everything in that place has golden sparkles on it, even my ketchup!🤣 The food was really really good though😋 After we ate, we went prom dress shopping, it’s early to do, but it’s better to be early than to be late and risk not having the dress you want in your size!!🙃 Today, I met John for the first time, he came back from his work trip late last night, so I met him this morning🙃 We went to church this morning, I really enjoyed it! I tried multiple different foods today and liked them all! We went out to eat tonight with my host parents and Withney, one of the twins🙃 We went to Ale Emporium. I decided to choose a certain pizza, but could only eat 2 slices and i was full already! It was a lot!😂 I’ve been doing really great lately! I have been trying many new things out and will be trying many more in the near future! I have a lot of choir rehearsals because competitions are almost here! I’m really excited for them! Week 24☺️ I barely have anything to share with you guys about this week😅 I started school again on Tuesday, so Monday was my very last day of break😅 Tuesday the second semester started, this meant that i have a whole new schedule. I have many different classes and many different teachers, but from what i can say so far, it looks like it’s going to be a fun semester!🙃 Wednesday I went to the Life group meeting again, before i went, i saw this verse on the Bible app. To me it was a really pretty and powerful verse 🙃 On friday i went to my very first high school basketball game with some people from our Life group. It was such a fun and entertaining game! Both teams were quite equally talented which made it very interesting to watch! On Saturday, I made myself an Avocado bagel, it was really good! (I barely finished half of it🤣) That was my first time eating a bagel, we do have them in Belgium i just never had one before. It is very filling! On Tuesday and Thursday i had choir rehearsal. Competitions start in less than a month! So excited☺️ I’ve been doing pretty good lately. I focus a lot on myself and on positive things that are happening around me which truly does help bring you in a better mood!:) I truly am so excited for competition season to finally kick in! I can’t wait😁 That’s all i have for you guys!

Week 23☺️ On Monday we had our very last family Christmas party!:) Lucy of course wore her p**p hat.. She’s obsessed with it😂 And yes, it really is a p**p hat, that was not a typo🤣 This week I didn’t really do anything, I watched a lot of Netflix since I was home most of the time📺 Yesterday was New Year’s Eve! I got ready for it, even though for some reason Americans do not dress up either for Christmas or New Year’s Eve! I still wanted to dress up a little:) I celebrated New Year’s Eve with a bunch of Exchange students! I had such a good time, it was really really fun!☺️ We lit up small fireworks, we had little confetti shooters, we had hats and necklaces to wear,… Really nice! We all watched and yelled along with the countdown! Then we drank some sparkling and non sparkling grape juice, someone spilled it on my pants… Anyway…! After midnight hit, we entered 2023, we all sat down and played games together, such as “cards against humanity” and uno,… Earlier in the night we also sang karaoke! It did not sound good at all but we just did it for fun!🤣 After we played all those games we stayed up and talked for so long! I only went to sleep at 5.30 in the morning😅😴 And i had to wake up 5 hours later to leave, since we spent the night there! I’m gonna sleep very good tonight that is for sure… 😂 The house we were at was at a lake so it was really cool to watch that from where we slept🙃 The only thing that would have been a little better that evening, is the roads to go to that house🤦‍♀️ So many turns where you can’t even see what’s coming, then it’s hills up and down and up and down.. It just kept going for forever🤣🤣 The roads didn’t really affect my night to be honest!!I had one of the best nights yet so far in my experience, it was so fun to just party with all those other exchange students! If it wasn’t clear yet, I had a really great time last night! And today… it’s 2023! That is crazy to think this experience is going by really fast! Well, this is all i have for you guys this week!

Week 22☺️ This week started off with a pretty cold weather, but it kept getting colder… I’m happy i didn’t have to go outside that much😅 On Monday and Tuesday I had finals, I passed them all. Finals are like for us exams, except all the tests are in 2 days, we only have a maximum of 7 tests since we only have 7 classes but some don’t have a final, such as my fitness class. So i only had 6 finals. All of my finals were multiple choice questions which made it quite easy😅 On Wednesday night we had the last meeting of the youth group of 2022! So crazy to think that 2023 is now only a week away.. It is literally so close! That’s the year where I turn 18, that’s just so crazy to think… I don’t really want to grow up😅 This week we also had a lot of snow and wind, the snow stayed for days! It’s still here by the way🙃 I don’t mind snow, but i prefer looking at it from inside than being in it😂 On Friday we built our gingerbread houses, this was my first time building and decorating a gingerbread house and i loved it!!🤩 I think i’ll make this a new yearly thing for me to do in Belgium!:)) On Saturday I got all dressed up and ready to go to our very first Christmas party!!!🎄 It was a lot of fun! I met family membres that i hadn’t met yet!🙃 There was a really cute napkin of Santa so i wanted to take a picture of it😂 That same day, Christmas Eve, was the last day that our Elf, Bradford, came by! He brought Lucy, Ryleigh and I matching Christmas PJ’s to wear on Christmas day. Once we were home from the Christmas party, we all put our PJ’s on and watched Home Alone together! That was really nice!:)) On Christmas day I got quite spoiled with tons of presents, i loved them all a lot! One present i got, you can see on the picture, is a bracelet that says “sister”, I got that from my sister, we now have matching bracelets🥰 My sister is my very best friend! (My brother too!) This was the very first Christmas i celebrated without my family around me, it was a little weird, it didn’t feel like my usual Christmas, but i still had an amazing one! Week 21☺️ My lucky number!:) This week started off with a pencil wall in choir🤨 Don’t ask me about it, i don’t know anything more than you do😂 On the second picture you can see a project i made in forensic science, we had to recreate/invent a christmas murder scene! It was so fun to do😄 On the third picture you can see a blow-up of a birthday cake, my journalism teacher put that up for his own birthday🤣 On Friday i had a Christmas party with choir! It was the big reveal of all the secret Santa’s 🎅☺️ There was a dessert table over there:) I also decorated cookies with friends!:)☺️ It was fun! On Saturday i had another Christmas party with the church youth group i joined, i joined that group this week on Wednesday and all the girls are so so nice! I enjoyed it a lot! We all made cookies to bring to the party! Chloe and I made chocolate chip cookies, we decorated them with some sprinkles to make it more Christmas like😂 At that party, there was a hot chocolate bar, we had soooo many things to put in and on our hot chocolate, it was so cool! Today I watched the final game of the World Cup! It was France against Argentina, some know but some don’t, Belgium and France are the biggest rivals in this sport, that was one reasons i was for Argentina, but the main reason was… MESSIIIIII😍🇦🇷 Messi plays in Argentina so OF COURSE i will support Argentina, guess what, THEY WON ! I can’t tell you how happy I was to see them win! (Sorry not sorry to all my french family but, i did not support you guys😂) It was truly such an amazing game! Argentina most definitely deserved to win in my opinion! This week, i’ve had a lot of things to do and I had so much fun doing all those things! I had a really great week, i enjoyed it a lot!:) Christmas is so so so close! I will have the coldest winter i’ve ever experienced, it’ll be -20°C on Christmas day… That’s crazy, I’m so happy I’m not leaving the house on that day😂 Anyway, that’s all I have for you guys this week:) Next update will be next week!

Week 20☺️ We’re in the 20s now! This week went by really really fast but it was so tiring at the same time! It was Sounds of the Season week, which was a week full of performances💃🎤 It was not only tiring for me, but also for my voice, I most definitely did not sound the same on Monday, as I did today, on Sunday😅My first 3 pictures are with friends🙃 On the fourth picture you can see a ton of cookies, Shawntell made 500 cookies for all the performing choir students, that was amazing!🤩 Saturday morning I went to eat breakfast with some people from choir, it was very good food!😋 Next is a picture of all the FC Singer heels together:)) That night, I received flowers from my host parents and from my host grandparents after they watched the show☺️ That was really sweet! You then also get an action shot of me during the opener with my dance partner🙃 Next is a picture with all the seniors together (that is what the last year in high school is called, senior year) The very last picture is an action picture of the whole FC Singers group, it just looks amazing🤩 This week was very fun, but as I already said, also very tiring! On Tuesday I had to go to school with that hairstyle and that makeup, i did not enjoy that at all!!!!! After all, I wasn’t alone doing it, and it doesn’t really matter either because who cares what people think! This week, we will have secret santa going on at school, so tonight I went and bought plenty of presents for the whole week, I am really happy with the presents I ended up buying and I hope the person I bought presents for, will be happy🙃 This is all I have for you guys this week☺️ Next update is next week!

Week 19☺️ I feel like every week passes by so fast! I am so so so looking forward to Christmas🎄 It’ll be such a fun experience to celebrate it in America!🤩 Hopefully we’ll have snow on christmas day😅❄️ Talking about Christmas, Monday our Elf Bradford made his first apprearance!🙃 Every day, we have to look for Bradford and find him☺️ On Tuesday, i almost set the school on fire, no big deal, i had my safety glasses on, i was safe!🤣🤣 On Thursday we had a winter concert with multiple Choirs at school! (Lucy was also being goofy while we were getting ready) On the 4th picture you can see the makeup we had to do for the concert🙃After the concert, we went to eat at a Mexican restaurant with some friends:) After we ate me and Ryleigh started dancing, it was fun! Friday night i went bowling with Chloe (my friend who’s an exchange student from France), Ryleigh and Olivia, in the first round i ended up in second place🙃 Afterwards Chloe spent the night at my house, it was really fun! Saturday afternoon we celebrated Cary’s birthday (Ryan’s dad)🥳 Me and Ryleigh left a little bit early to go see another school’s choir Christmas show, you can see a lot of santa’s🤣 It was really really fun to watch and they sounded really great! This week I had a lot of choir rehearsals (every day except for Monday), it was very tiring but also nice! I have been doing really good this week, i’ve been feeling happy and everything has been great! This week coming, we have our choir Christmas show and we have to perform 7 shows! I will be so so so tired by the end of the week, but performing all those songs will be oh so fun! I can’t believe it’s already December though! It all went so fast, i didn’t see this year pass!
