Its Young Eagles Day at Iowa City! Weather holding off so far!

09/22/2026

Join Us! THIS SATURDAY! September, 26th as we host EAA Chapter 33 and their Young Eagles program! Flights will take place from 9am-Noon weather permitting.

This event is for youth 8-17 years old, but we encourage families to attend. We hope to have a few static airplane displays for everyone to enjoy. Along with our pedal planes for the young aviators.

We have a waiting list for flights so please make sure you complete your flight. If you are unable to make your flight schedule time, contact the planners as soon as practical.

Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane.

It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

Today, nearly 2.5 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

Register for your flight and get more information at https://www.eaachapters.org/event-details/WY3960OMP or at [email protected]
