A mesage from Mark Reid:

DFW FP GUILD

Just a shout out and a tremendous THANK YOU to all my beautiful friends old and new for showing up for me at the meeting.

This is where my journey into professional make-up and teaching began in 2003.

Most of the original members are not here anymore but a couple did show up!

I have celebrated my birthday at thr State Fair of Texas and at the Guild meetings for 21 years! WOW! This will always be my home. Again, Thank you so so much!! ❤️

Our DFW Face painters guild presents our upcoming August meeting session

Face Painting 101: From Fundamentals to freestyle

By guest artist and instructor: Kelli Bassey also known as Painted Pinup of Paper Moon Entertainment LLC

**Build the skills that make you a stronger, faster & more versatile working artist!**

📚 **Build Your Basics**
Create a strong collection of go-to designs you can paint confidently, consistently, and quickly.

📝 **Menu Matters**
Learn how to build event menus that showcase your strengths, keep your line moving, and still give guests plenty of choices.

🎨 **Color Outside the Lines**
Stop being afraid of unfamiliar requests! Learn how to break down new subjects and confidently tackle designs you haven't practiced 100 times.

✏️ **Become a Well-Rounded Artist**
Butterflies may be your specialty—but what happens when someone asks for a hammerhead shark? Develop the foundational skills that let you paint a little bit of EVERYTHING.

🚫 **Don't Paint Yourself Into a Corner**
Avoid becoming so dependent on a handful of designs or techniques that you're stumped when someone asks for something unexpected.

🌟 **From Fundamentals to Freestyle**
Use strong fundamentals, shape recognition, color, and a little creative problem-solving to turn almost ANY request into a workable face-paint design.

Because the goal isn't to memorize every design—it's to learn how to PAINT.
