To all my small business owners that are not small minded. Remember Amazon started in a garage, Apple started in a garage, Facebook(Meta) started in a college dorm and so on.
Whatever your craft may be, keep going, keep learning, and don’t ever be afraid to try something new. Just because it did not work for someone else, does not mean it’s not going to work for you.
Know your worth. Don’t ever chase clients; trust me, the right ones will find you. Go hard for those that go hard for you, invest more into them than they invested onto you, it will pay off.

This is an example of one of client’s first full week. He is a brand new owner operator, who is hungry for success and smart enough to align himself with the right team.

Note: $2250 got an extra$100 added to it, and all $2690 rate cons got an extra $200 added to them.

Hey guys!!!
We are now hearing everywhere of the rise in Diesel prices. These are the times when Owner Operators need to make smarter decisions about booking loads.

Lower your dead head miles!!! Have you taken into consideration that DH miles can eat away a huge chunk of your profits.

The trucking industry was already paying great rates for loads, so one thing we can argue is that they are not going to be willing to pay more to move freight. How long will you have your truck sit before you find suitable loads to keep it moving.

Having a great dispatcher to call brokers on your behalf while you are driving, investing into technology to know what lanes are paying most, knowing weather forecast and calculating your rate per mile are all crucial activities for your business during these times.

Don’t stress yourself out trying to do all these things on your own; build yourself a team, find a good dispatcher to help you reduce DH miles and call brokers on your behalf, and save you money.

These are all things that require discipline to do and are not just requirements but necessities.

Staying on top of your physical and mental health. See your primary doctor for regular checkups, pay attention to your eating habits, exercise regularly. When you need to, don’t be afraid to see a therapist. You are your business. Without you, there’s nothing.

Get in tune with your finances. Have you been putting money aside? I’m not just talking about savings accounts or money for truck break downs(which is another beast all on its own). I’m talking about money to scale your trucking business, I’m talking about money into an infinite banking system to secure your family. When the wheels stop turning will you have assets that will produce residual/passive income?

Have you grounded your truck for a week to do maintenance. After your health this is your next most important asset. Have a plan to get your truck checked regularly by a certified technician, you wouldn’t let anyone off the streets check your health, Why do it for your truck?

Start planning now, stay safe, stay focus and secure the bag!!

🌞Great news🌞

We’re finally cleared from this week’s winter storm. Next week looks like a great week in the trucking industry.

Clear skies and good visibility is predicted for the US, except for Seattle, and Portland which will experience snow, rain, and wind in some parts. This storm is active 2/26/22 - 3/3/22. The I-5, I-84, and I-90 will be impacted.

There will be additional law enforcement on the I-95 from March 1-3.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has declared a Houston based trucking company to cease all operations after an audit due to an accident which involved the lone driver being killed in a rollover.

Although the accident was fatal, this company was not put out of service because of the accident but due to not being compliant.

Compliance is key for every trucking company and FMCSA does not play when it comes to compliance. Penalties can range from hundreds to several thousands of dollars.

According to the FMCSA article, the 7 penalties for the said company ranged from $11,256 and up to $28,142 for each violation.

The trucking industry is not a joke; to succeed in this industry you need to keep your truck safe, stay in compliance, and have great teams and systems.

May this driver rest in peace and his family find comfort.

Jumping into the trucking industry blind is setting your self up for destruction.

Follow these three simple steps when you’re starting your trucking journey to alleviate your self from unnecessary stress and pitfalls.

1. Make sure you have a vision for what you want your trucking company to be and a plan for how you are going to get there.

2. Learners are Earners. Do your research, ask a lot of questions. The more you know the more you’ll make.

3. Find yourself a mentor. Do not try to be the smartest person in the room. Trucking is not forgiving, one mistake can cost you thousands. Don’t let your ego get in the way; be a student of game.

🚨🚨🚨Alert, Alert, Alert🚨 🚨🚨

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced yesterday that this year’s International Roadcheck dates are May 17-19.

Inspectors in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. will conduct inspections of commercial motor vehicles and drivers at weigh and inspection stations, on roving patrols, and at temporary inspection sites.

This year roadcheck will be focus on wheel ends. So do a thorough inspection on your trucks and trailers. Most importantly make, sure you are in compliance.

The last thing you want, is to get checked and not be in compliance.
