Don't miss the train on our newest photo charter, "The Spirit of St. Louis"!

For the first time in 55 years a Penn Central passenger train will be departing a station and plying the rails again. Making stops along the way for people to photograph and video tape at curated locations. Once the sun sets we will swap to staged nights scenes all using a variety of actors and classic vehicles to set the mood.

5898 is a Pennsylvania railroad E8 that has the distinction of being of the few E units not repainted into Penn Central colors. Following behind will be two commuter cars wearing Penn Central logos on the sides. Taking up the rear will be a original New York Central Streamlined coach complete with marker lamps.

Don't miss this one time event!

🛠️ 1953 Flatcar Restored ✅️

👉 In addition to operating historic trains, preservation is at the heart of the Iron Mountain’s mission. Our volunteers recently completed restoration work on this 73-year-old flatcar, preserving another piece of American Railroad history.

🚂 N&W 32916 joined our collection last year and is an excellent example of a 1950s-era general-purpose flatcar. Cars like this were used by railroads across the country to transport a wide variety of commodities and equipment.

🤝 Restoration projects like this are only possible because of our dedicated volunteers and the generous financial support of our patrons. If you’d like to get involved, volunteer, or contribute toward a future preservation project like this. Please reach out to learn more!✉️
