One of the most important stops on our upcoming journey will be Auschwitz-Birkenau.

This is not a place we visit for entertainment. It is a place to remember, to learn, and to stand where one of history’s darkest chapters unfolded.

More than 1.1 million people were murdered at Auschwitz, the vast majority of them Jews. Walking through Auschwitz I and Birkenau will undoubtedly be one of the most sobering experiences of our trip.

We’ll share the experience respectfully when we visit from Kraków.

⏳ 10 DAYS TO GO! 🇵🇱

One of the most fascinating stops on our upcoming trip will be the Wieliczka Salt Mine, just outside Kraków.

For centuries, miners carved an incredible underground world from salt — chambers, tunnels, sculptures, chapels and even enormous underground halls hidden deep beneath the earth.

This statue of King Casimir III the Great is part of that remarkable history. He played an important role in the development of Poland’s medieval salt industry, which became one of the kingdom’s great sources of wealth.

We’ll be heading underground ourselves while we’re in Kraków. 🇵🇱

September 15 can’t get here soon enough!

12 DAYS TO GO! 🇵🇱

Kraków is waiting.

Horse-drawn carriages rolling through the beautiful Old Town are one of the classic sights around Kraków’s Main Market Square. Soon we’ll be seeing it for ourselves — along with Wawel Castle, historic streets, Polish food, local b**r, and a few unforgettable day trips.

September 15 — Europe, here we come! ✈️🍺

🇵🇱 13 DAYS TO GO! 🇵🇱

Another glimpse of Kraków!

This is the Barbican, one of the best-preserved medieval defensive structures in Europe. Built at the end of the 15th century, it once protected one of the main entrances into Kraków’s Old Town.

We’re looking forward to walking through these historic streets, exploring the city walls and gates, and seeing just how much of Kraków’s medieval character is still intact.

And, of course, there will be time for pierogi and a Polish b**r or two along the way. 🍺🥟

🇵🇱 13 DAYS TO GO! 🇵🇱

Kraków is getting closer!

This is St. Mary’s Basilica, one of the most recognizable sights on Kraków’s Main Market Square. Its two mismatched towers have watched over the city for centuries.

Every hour, a trumpeter plays the famous Hejnał from the taller tower — and the tune suddenly stops mid-note, a tradition tied to one of Kraków’s best-known legends.

We’re looking forward to wandering the Old Town, exploring Wawel, eating plenty of pierogi and sampling some Polish b**r along the way. 🍺🥟

🇵🇱 14 DAYS TO GO! 🇵🇱

Next stop on our countdown: KRAKÓW, Poland — pronounced roughly “KRAH-koof.”

What are we expecting from Kraków? A lot!

🥟 FOOD — Pierogi, potato pancakes, kielbasa, żurek soup and Kraków’s famous street food, zapiekanka.

🍺 B**R — Poland has a long brewing tradition, and Kraków has everything from classic Polish la**rs to a growing craft-b**r scene. We’ll definitely be doing some research! 🍻

🏰 SIGHTS — Kraków’s magnificent Old Town, the huge Rynek Główny market square, St. Mary’s Basilica, the Cloth Hall, Wawel Castle and the historic Kazimierz district.

And from Kraków, we’ll also visit two extraordinary places — Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

The photo is exactly what we’re looking forward to: the heart of Kraków with the towers of St. Mary’s Basilica rising above the square.

15 DAYS TO GO! 🇦🇹🍽️

Vienna is waiting — and so is the Wiener Schnitzel!

Crispy, golden, thinly pounded veal with a squeeze of lemon, usually served with potato salad or lingonberries. Add a cold Austrian b**r and you have one of those meals that simply belongs on the itinerary.

This is the kind of travel we love — experiencing Germany through its b**r, traditions and local celebrations.

From Munich’s legendary Oktoberfest to springtime Frühlingsfest and Rothenburg’s historic Der Meistertrunk, there’s always another reason to raise a glass in Bavaria.

17 DAYS TO DEPARTURE! 🇦🇹✈️

**Vienna is getting close.**

This is the magnificent **Kunsthistorisches Museum**, one of the grand buildings lining Maria-Theresien-Platz.

Vienna is packed with imperial architecture, elegant streets, cafés, history and some of the most impressive public spaces in Europe.

We’ll have three nights here before continuing on to Kraków.
