Great to see this Piper Cub and its pilot/owner back at 2A1 today! This was a former based aircraft here at the Jamestown Municipal Airport, so it was especially nice to see it back for a visit.
But the best part of the visit? Getting a fresh loaf of homemade sourdough bread from the pilot’s wife, Ms. Karin! Sorry, Steve & Kitt—you missed out, my friends!
We always enjoy seeing familiar faces and aircraft return to 2A1. Thanks for stopping by, and we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon!

We had a surprise visit today from Steve with Titan Aviation Fuels, who was piloting this awesome Anniversary Edition Beechcraft Bonanza! Steve took some time to tour our facility and fuel farm and was very pleased with the progress being made at our Jamestown Municipal Airport. We’re always excited to welcome aviation friends and industry partners to 2A1!

On Friday, August 7, we were pleasantly surprised to welcome this Robinson R22 Beta from Indiana to Jamestown Municipal Airport (2A1) for a fuel stop and a quick break. We haven’t seen many Robinson helicopters at 2A1 lately, so it was great to have this one drop in! They arrived just as a storm was developing south of the runway, making the flying conditions less than ideal. They were able to get fueled up, take a quick break, load up, and get back in the air heading north—just as the pouring rain came up Runway 1 from the south! We appreciate you choosing 2A1 for your stop and are glad we could be of service. We hope to see you and the R22 back again soon!

On July 31, we were pleased to welcome this Cessna C-150 Commuter to 2A1 as it flew in from Oliver Springs. The pilot has family who recently moved into the Jamestown area and decided to fly in to spend some time with them and take them up for a ride. What a great way to enjoy some family time—and get a bird’s-eye view of beautiful Jamestown, TN, and the surrounding area! It was great to see the aircraft, meet the pilot and his family, and have them spend the day with us here at Jamestown Municipal Airport.
We appreciate them choosing 2A1 and look forward to seeing them again soon!

This Cirrus SR22 Turbo is a regular visitor here at Jamestown Municipal Airport (2A1), and we’re always glad to see it pull onto the ramp! It’s a pretty cool aircraft—and the owners are pretty cool people, too! We appreciate the opportunity to serve them during their visits to the area and are grateful that they continue to choose 2A1. We look forward to many more visits and many more opportunities to serve them.
